1. EXECUTIVE, DATA AND PUBLICATION (2 POSITIONS)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Full-time contractual with competitive remuneration and benefits 
  • Based in Ipoh, Perak

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the publication process, from drafting to editing to final dissemination of research outputs 
  • Editing and reviewing documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Overseeing the publication process, including coordinating internal reviews, external peer review, formatting, and ensuring timely dissemination across various platforms (print, online, etc.).
  • Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative and qualitative data across various research projects, ensuring data quality and integrity. 
  • Lead the development of research reports, policy briefs, and publications based on data findings. Present insights in a clear, accessible format for different audiences, including policymakers, researchers, and the public. 
  • Design and create compelling data visualizations to communicate research findings effectively. 
  • Collaborate with research teams to gather data and provide statistical and analytical support for ongoing projects. 
  • Employ statistical techniques to derive actionable insights from research findings. 
  • Prepare detailed and well-organized research reports.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in data management,  publication, and relevant technologies. 
  • Communication contents to support internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Represent events and activities to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian nationality with excellent proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Urban/Town and Regional Planning, Economics, Political Science, Management, Business Studies, Engineering and other related fields.
  • At least 1-5 years of experience in writing and publishing research reports, policy papers, or articles in both academic and non-academic formats. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English with the ability to communicate at a senior level both internally and externally.
  • Certification in any data and analytics tools – SPSS/Tableau/PowerBI/SimilarWeb/Microsoft, Google Analytics is an advantage. 
  • Knowledgeable and interest in political, socioeconomic issues and developments. 
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and Project Management). 
  • Well-versed in strategic management tools and analytics. 
  • Resilient and can work under pressure. 
  • Agile, creative, and innovative. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain and build rapport with stakeholders. 
  • Able to collaborate with internal divisions in IDR to realize projects and programs.
  • Able to lead and be a proactive team player. 
  • Able to execute special task projects.

2. EXECUTIVE, RESEARCH & CONSULTANCY (1 POSITION)

  • Employ statistical techniques to derive actionable insights from research findings. 
  • Prepare detailed and well-organized research reports. 
  • Implement best practices to maintain high standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in research methods, and relevant technologies. 
  • Prepare communication materials to support internal and external stakeholders’ engagement.
  • Update and monitor research, projects, and programs.
  • Represent events and activities to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Produce reports and publications.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian nationality with excellent proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day communication with internal and external stakeholders at multiple platforms.
  • Manage and coordinate with design team and content from research team to enhance brand visibility at multiple communication platforms.
  • Manage, coordinate and monitor Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability programs and projects.
  • Analyse and report media queries and engagement on multiple platforms.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement communication content and promotional collateral on multiple platforms.
  • Organise, coordinate, and support organisation initiatives and agenda.
  • Implement projects and programs.
  • Represent at relevant events and activities to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS
